Sir, – While I could scarcely have less regard for vapid influencers peddling ideologies on the tradwife role or the so-called manosphere, I cannot imagine a Government awareness campaign helping address the problem (“New public information campaign warns of the terms ‘tradwife’ and ‘manosphere’,” August 6th). The whole essence of these belief systems is that they run contrary to the prevailing norms and culture. After going to an all-boys school and only playing sports with other lads, I was now a master of the universe, with a Leaving Certificate and enrolled on one of my top five CEO courses. The bubble burst the day I played squash with a female student who wiped the floor with me. I learned that day while in sport there are some men who can defeat most men, there are also some women who can defeat most men.
