The new app from Aimpexx has been launched to enable African traders order goods directly from manufacturers worldwide. It replaces the sourcing middleman with a verified video feed.
In a statement, the company explained that for decades, the distance between African traders and a factory floor in Guangzhou has been measured not in kilometres but in trust.
“Money moves first. Goods move later, if they move at all. Somewhere between the two sits an agent whose reputation is the only guarantee anyone has. Godofreda is built to close that gap. Developed by Nigerian logistics and supply chain company Aimpexx, the platform lets buyers discover, vet and order from verified factories and vendors around the world without a broker standing between them and the source,” it said.
“The product does something unusual for business-to-business commerce: it looks like a social app. Buyers swipe through video feeds published by manufacturers, follow the factories they like, watch live product launches and place orders inside the same interface. It is discovery in the visual language a generation of Nigeria and African traders already speaks fluently, applied to a category that has spent years buried in grainy catalogues and forwarded price lists,” it said.
