Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is expected to deliver a dual message at this year’s Thessaloniki International Fair, using the preelection event to outline both planned economic measures and the governing New Democracy party’s program for the next national vote.
Alongside the customary presentation of policies aimed at strengthening household income, Mitsotakis will present the main pillars of the “Agenda 2030,” described as a road map for the country’s transition to a new era.
The governing party’s narrative centers on stability amid geopolitical turmoil, armed conflicts and technological challenges linked to artificial intelligence.
Agenda 2030 builds on the record of New Democracy’s years in government, which officials say includes higher foreign direct investment, unemployment falling from 18% to 8%, a higher minimum wage and lower taxes.
Key priorities include further increases in disposable income, reforms to improve public-sector performance, continued digital upgrades and the use of AI in state services.
