The Sharks this week unveiled a new identity, including a new logo and badge, and while not everyone has welcomed the change, their acknowledged Super Fan thinks it is cool.
Sharks Super Fan Henry Rutherford has been supporting the Sharks since he moved from Pretoria to Durban in 1985, and has been a season ticket holder since 2013.
The 61-year-old and his wife, Sandra, have prime seats halfway up the main stand, with their names proudly written on the backs.
“The Natal team was not too hot in the ‘80s; in fact, they were in the B section of the Currie Cup, and their games were rarely televised,” Rutherford recalls.
