Residents of Ongata Rongai have been urged to remain vigilant during early morning runs after a dead hyena was found by the roadside.
A video that has since gone viral on social media shows the carcass of the hyena lying on top of a roadside guardrail as a man filming the scene warns joggers.
"Kwa wale wapenda morning runs, mkuwe careful. Tumepata huyu mjamaa hapa," he says in the clip.
The discovery has reignited concerns among residents, as hyenas have previously been spotted in the area and have reportedly attacked people. Some animals captured in past incidents were also alleged to have tested positive for rabies.
