A zebra was spotted on Wednesday roaming near a busy roadway north of Durban

A zebra has been spotted on Wednesday roaming near a busy roadway north of Durban, close to traffic travelling to and from King Shaka International Airport.

Local security company, Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), has appealed to motorists to exercise caution after the zebra was spotted near a busy roadway in Shortlands.

The animal was seen near the roadside, raising concerns about the safety of both motorists and the zebra.

Prem Balram of RUSA has urged drivers using the route to reduce their speed, remain alert, and avoid attempting to chase or corner the animal.
