Suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Shadrack Sibiya has been named in the Madlanga Commission’s second interim report, which recommends disciplinary action and further investigations.
The Madlanga Commission has called for disciplinary action against four people who appeared before it, including suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya, Witness G, suspended SAPS Sergeant Fannie Nkosi and alleged political fixer Brown Mogotsi.
The four were singled out in the commission’s second interim report, which was handed to President Cyril Ramaphosa at the end of May.
This is the second Madlanga Commission interim report to recommend immediate investigations into alleged criminal conduct.
The report sets out recommendations and referrals based on evidence heard by the commission since the beginning of 2026.
