The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that a Polish volunteer was killed in Ukraine as a result of a Russian attack.
According to Ukrinform, Polskie Radio reported this.
“I confirm with deep sorrow the death of a Polish volunteer in Ukraine who was killed as a result of Russian military action. We extend our deepest condolences to his loved ones,” Maciej Wewur, Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, said on Tuesday, August 4.
He called for respect for the deceased’s family’s right to privacy and assured them that the foreign ministry and Poland’s diplomatic mission in Ukraine are ready to provide all possible consular assistance.
The humanitarian group Together for Ukraine first reported the death of the Polish volunteer on July 30; the man had been the administrator of the group’s social media pages.
