The Celebrity Big Brother star was rushed to hospital in Miami after he worried fans with concerning behaviour while broadcasting live on TikTok.‌Local police received "multiple" emergency calls over the welfare of the 48-year-old. Clips taken from the TikTok live show show Perez covered in what appears to be blood while also brandishing a knife. Police later issued a statement, confirming Perez was alone.‌Following his move from Las Vegas to Miami, Perez told his fans that he nearly died twice. He said on YouTube: "I love Vegas. I have nothing but wonderful memories here. However, I need to move to Miami for many reasons. First, this is heaven sent. God told me to move to Miami.‌"I was in the car with my mother and all of a sudden, the Holy Spirit made these words come out of my mouth – ‘Let’s move to Miami’. I know that this move will be great for my family."It was then he made the admission about his brush with death, adding: "Nearly dying this year twice and that experience… you just never think that’s going to happen."‌In a statement, police confirmed they decided to "tactically disengage" while reviewing the situation. A spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Sheriff's office said: "In many incidents involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or actively harming themselves, deputies prioritise de-escalation by creating time, distance, and opportunities for communication."Unless there is an immediate threat to others, slowing the situation and utilising crisis intervention techniques can reduce the likelihood of a suicide-by-cop encounter and minimise the risk of injury to the individual, deputies, and the public."It was later revealed that Perez had been "safely recovered and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical attention". The footage, which the Mirror are choosing not to show, has since been removed from the platform.‌In a statement to TMZ, Perez's spokesperson said: "We are aware of the concerning content circulating online involving our client, Perez Hilton. At this time, we have not been able to make direct contact with him, despite our ongoing efforts to reach him."Our primary concern is Perez's health and well-being, as well as his family's well-being. Until we have confirmed information, we will not speculate or comment further.
