Qatari data center developer Meeza has agreed a QAR 1.6 billion ($438m) credit agreement with Dukhan Bank to fund further projects.
The firm will use the money to fund the construction of three new data centers with a collective 44MW of compute power. In a joint statement, both Meeza and Dukhan Bank lauded the agreement as a key step toward accelerating Qatar’s digital transformation.
No information was released on where the new facilities will be built or how much each project will cost. DCD has approached Meeza for comment.
“Securing this additional QR1.6bn facility from Dukhan Bank represents a major strategic milestone for MEEZA,” said the firm’s CEO, Mohamed Ali al-Ghaithani. “This financing supports our plan to deliver one of the most significant data center capacity expansions in Qatar, increasing our capacity to over 60 megawatts and reinforcing MEEZA’s role as a key enabler of the country’s digital transformation.”
The agreement is the second such deal between Meeza and Dukhan Bank to fund the former’s 44MW build-out, the first of which saw Meeza loan QAR 800 million ($219.3m) in August 2025.
