Qatari data center developer Meeza has announced the completion of a 4MW data center expansion project for an unnamed “leading global hyperscaler”.It said it delivered the project nine months ahead of schedule.In July 2025, Meeza signed a QAR 350 million ($96m) hosting agreement with an undisclosed “global hyperscaler” to provide 4MW of capacity at its facilities for over a decade.Meeza said that the early delivery will allow its customer to speed up the rollout of its cloud and digital services and strengthen Qatar’s position as a regional hub for advanced digital infrastructure.Mohamed Ali Al-Ghaithani, CEO of Meeza, said: “Completing the project nine months early demonstrates the dedication of our teams and reinforces the confidence that global technology leaders place in Meeza as their trusted digital infrastructure partner.“As demand for cloud services, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing continues to accelerate, Meeza remains committed to investing in world-class digital infrastructure that supports Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030 and positions the country as a preferred destination for hyperscale cloud investments.”Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030 is a national strategy aimed at diversifying the country’s economy away from oil and gas by investing heavily in digital infrastructure and skills by the end of the decade.Last October, Meeza signed another hosting agreement with an undisclosed “global hyperscaler” to provide 6MW of capacity at its facilities.The deal, signed with one of the “fastest-growing cloud service providers in the world,” was valued at more than QAR 750 million ($205m).Meeza has five data centers in the Gulf state, having launched its fifth in 2022. The M-VAULT 5 facility is located in the Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP) in Doha and was completed just a year after the inauguration of its fourth data center M-VAULT 4, also located in the technology park.In 2023, the company announced the successful completion of an IPO, after floating 50 percent of the company’s issued share capital on the Qatar Stock Exchange, having announced plans to go public earlier that year.Learn more about the data center market in the Middle East and Saudi Arabia and meet with other executives and experts in the region at the DCN Riyadh event next year.
