Fadiel Adams
National Coloured Congress (NCC) leader and Member of Parliament (MP) Fadiel Adams has been suspended from Parliament under the Powers, Privileges and Immunities of Parliament and Provincial Legislatures Act, following allegations that his conduct brought the institution into disrepute.
The suspension emerged on Wednesday during a meeting of Parliament's Impeachment Committee, where members voted to appoint Advocate Thandazani Madonsela SC as the committee's evidence leader.
Chairperson Magashule Gana announced the appointment after the majority backed Madonsela.
Adams was absent from the meeting, with committee members informed that he had already been suspended.
