Now, she remains the longest-running presenter on the programme as it's set to celebrate its 20th year on-air this month.‌Ahead of the celebrations, Alex touched on her time fronting the programme for the first time after replacing then presenters Adrian Chiles and Christine Lampard.“Weirdly, I didn’t think the first show was that scary,” she told Radio Times. “There was a lot of chat around it because Adrian (Chiles) and Christine (Lampard), who were brilliant, had left the show."‌Alex then reflected on her first day as she recalled interviewing her first celebrity guest - American actress Whoopi Goldberg.The presenter added: “It just felt lovely from the first night. There was Whoopi Goldberg, and I thought, ‘Oh, I love Ghost. I can’t believe this.
