TVTV NewsAlex JonesAlex Jones announced a schedule change as she presented the latest episode of The One Show20:13, 21 May 2026The One Show presenter Alex Jones has confirmed a shake-up on the BBC programme.‌The show was on air as usual on Thursday evening but as it wrapped up, the TV star said that it would be "off air" on Friday (May 22).‌While the magazine-style programme typically broadcasts Monday to Friday at 7pm, Alex said this week's final instalment would not be broadcast because of coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show.‌She also announced that when the programme returns next week, it will be on at a different time to usual.Alex, who was co-hosting alongside fellow presenter Roman Kemp, said as the show wrapped: "We are off air tomorrow to make way for the Chelsea Flower Show, but we will be back on Monday at the earlier time of 6.30pm."‌Thursday's instalment of the show featured appearances from Tom Allen, who was on the sofa to talk about his first novel, Common Decency, and former EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy.The actress, who is best known for playing Sonia in the BBC soap, opened up about her decision to return to college to train to become a carer after helping to care for her dad before his death.She explained: "I've just been growing up with care all my life. My nan lived with me.
