Olha Travina, director of the Department of Social Protection of the Population at the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration, reported this in a comment to Ukrinform, according to Ukrinform.
“Today, a commission from the Regional Military Administration is working in Bereznyky to inspect the conditions at the state enterprise ‘Artek Zakarpattia.’ We have not received any official complaints—we learned about the scandal surrounding ‘Artek Zakarpattia’ from social media. The camp is located within the region but is not funded by the regional budget. It is a branch of the state-owned enterprise ‘Artek,’ which has been granted temporary use of the building of the former ‘Choven’ sanatorium for the duration of martial law,” Travina said.
According to her, the commission includes representatives from the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration’s departments of social protection and health care, as well as the State Emergency Service and the State Food and Consumer Service.
