Children are being evacuated from the Artek camp in occupied Crimea. The decision was taken amid electricity supply problems, fuel shortages and a deteriorating security situation.

Details: According to a decree published by the Russian occupation administration in Crimea, bookings, admissions and accommodation of children and children's groups at holiday and health resorts on the peninsula will be suspended from 22 June to 1 September.

The restrictions also apply to hotels, recreation bases and other accommodation facilities where children were due to take part in tourist, sport or cultural events, including festivals, gatherings, training camps and excursions.
