Faeces was found near the water tank of a Government Higher Secondary School at Thangamapatti in Dindigul district on Monday. A warning notice was also found near the water tank. However, when the authorities found the notice, it was wet and the text was illegible.It is said the water from the tank is used by girl students. On receiving information, Dindigul Superintendent of Police S. Jeyakumar visited the school and inspected the drinking water tank. He also questioned the people in the school. Other officials were also present at the school during the inspection.The residents have condemned the incident and urged the authorities to arrest those involved in the act.
