Three Class IX girl students from a government school in Kanjampatti, near Pollachi in Coimbatore district, were hospitalised on Monday after consuming cow dung powder with water. The students were admitted to Pollachi Government Hospital.
According to official sources, the incident may have been prompted by a warning issued by teachers to the students over an issue the previous week. On Monday, the girls reportedly consumed the toxic substance in classroom, which led to immediate health complications. Sources confirmed that the students’ health is improving.
