Tyla’s Lagos stop on her 'A*POP' World Tour has sparked debate after a reported schedule change following calls for a boycott linked to conversations around xenophobia.
Tyla's Lagos concert, part of her "A*POP World Tour," has been removed from her official tour schedule after Nigerian content creator Solomon Buchi called for a boycott of the performance.
The reported removal was first highlighted by news outlet "African Folder", which shared that the Nigerian date had disappeared from the singer’s tour listing.
The update comes after Buchi criticised Tyla for not publicly addressing xenophobic attacks in South Africa and urged Nigerians not to support the show.
"That show must not happen. This is the one time we have to come together and stand for something," he said in a video shared on Instagram.
