Nigerian content creator Solomon Buchi has called on Nigerians to boycott Tyla's upcoming show in the country, saying it is time for people to "come together and stand for something" amid ongoing conversations around xenophobia and South Africa's treatment of African migrants.
"That show must not happen. This is the one time we have to come together and stand for something," Buchi said in a video shared on his Instagram page.
He went on to criticise Tyla for not publicly speaking about xenophobic attacks that have taken place in South Africa over the years.
"Not after the xenophobia attacks that we saw in South Africa and how immigrants, especially Nigerian immigrants, were treated. Not one word from Tyla," he said.
