Four killed in ambush on Old Klipfontein Road as police search for Nyanga gunmen.
Four men were tragically shot and killed in a mass shooting in Nyanga, Cape Town, on Saturday night, prompting an urgent investigation by Serious Violent Crime detectives.
The victims were travelling in a Toyota Avanza along Old Klipfontein Road at approximately 9.55pm when they pulled over fix a flat tyre. As they worked on the vehicle, a group of unknown gunmen approached and opened fire, leaving the men with fatal injuries.
The four men sustained fatal gunshot wounds and were declared dead at the scene by medical personnel.
Police said the motive for the attack is believed to be taxi-related, but this will be investigated as part of the ongoing probe.
