According to the police, officers attached to the Iperu Division rescued 29-year-old Sotonwa Oluwameyowa after he was abducted along Ogere Road in Orisunmibare, Iperu-Remo on July 27.
The Ogun State Police Command has said its operatives arrested 24 suspects during a series of intelligence-led operations across the state, rescued a kidnapped victim, recovered firearms, ammunition, stolen vehicles, a motorcycle and other allegedly stolen assets.
The Command, in a statement issued on Saturday by its spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, said the operations were carried out under "Operation KOSAYE" across several divisions in the state between July 23 and July 31.

The police said the victim was rescued after a joint search operation involving the Nigeria Police Force, So-Safe Corps and Amotekun operatives mounted pressure on the kidnappers, forcing them to flee.
