Babaseyi said the operation was carried out by personnel of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit following the abduction of a victim at Ogbe Village in the state on June 11, 2026.

The Ogun State Police Command has announced that its operatives killed two suspected kidnappers and recovered a single-barrel gun, ₦2.2million, a mobile phone, and other items.

The Command disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday by its Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, who said the suspects were killed during a follow-up operation aimed at dismantling a kidnapping syndicate operating in the state.

Babaseyi said the operation was carried out by personnel of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit following the abduction of a victim at Ogbe Village in the state on June 11, 2026.

According to the police spokesperson, the Command immediately deployed intelligence and tactical resources after receiving information about the incident, leading to sustained surveillance and pressure on the gang.
