As a result of last night’s Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv, residential and non-residential buildings in five districts of the capital sustained damage and destruction; emergency rescue operations are ongoing.

According to Ukrinform, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported this on Telegram.

“A horrific night for Kyiv. The enemy launched ballistic missile strikes on the capital. Damage and destruction to residential and non-residential buildings, as well as fires, occurred in five districts of the city. So far, nine people are known to have died. More than 30 people were injured, including four children,” Klitschko wrote.

In addition, 17 wounded people are in hospitals, where medical personnel are providing all necessary care.

Klitschko noted that emergency and rescue services continue to work at the sites of the strikes and are dealing with the aftermath of the Russian attack.
