Russian forces launched a missile attack on Kyiv in the early hours of Thursday, with falling debris sparking fires in at least two districts of the Ukrainian capital. He also reported a fire at a non-residential site in Obolon. A separate blaze broke out at a garage cooperative in the Sviatoshynskyi district, according to the mayor. There were no immediate reports of casualties. Missiles headed toward several Ukrainian cities Ukraine’s Air Force had earlier warned that Russian missiles were flying toward Kyiv, Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih, urging residents to remain in shelters as the attack unfolded. The type and number of missiles used in the latest assault were not immediately clear. Russia has repeatedly targeted Kyiv with ballistic and cruise missiles throughout July. On July 24, explosions were reported across the capital as Ukrainian air defenses responded to another Russian missile attack. Earlier attacks this month caused casualties and extensive fires across several districts of Kyiv, underscoring the continuing threat to the capital as Moscow maintains its long-range campaign against Ukrainian cities.
