Friday’s mixed session at the Greek bourse ended the benchmark’s rising streak, with Alpha Bank reporting net earnings of €497 million in the year’s first half and easing 0.26% upon closing. July proved to be the fourth straight month of advance, by 4.47%.

The Euronext Athens (ATHEX) general index closed at 2,569.75 points, shedding 0.08% from Thursday’s 2,571.90 points. On a weekly basis it added 3.09%. The large-cap FTSE-25 index contracted 0.15% to end at 6,550.25 points and the banks index conceded 0.84%.

In total, 60 stocks registered gains, 44 suffered losses and 19 remained unchanged.

Turnover amounted to €393.9 million, up from Thursday’s €336.1 million.

In Nicosia, the general index of the Cyprus Stock Exchange increased 0.96% to 314.31 points.
