South Coast Railway (SCoR) General Manager Sandeep Mathur conducted an inspection of the Nandyal-Guntur section to review safety standards, infrastructure progress, operational efficiency, and passenger amenities.The inspection began at Nandyal Railway Station, where the GM evaluated the ongoing redevelopment works under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, urging officials to maintain high execution quality and minimise passenger inconvenience. He also inspected the Crew Lobby and Running Room, emphasising that modern, comfortable facilities for frontline staff are vital for safe and efficient operations.He examined the Signalling and Telecommunication Relay Room at Gajulapalli Railway Station and conducted a review of safety protocols and construction activities for the under-construction tunnel in the Chalema-Diguvametta section of the Guntur Division. In the Cumbum Tank-Cumbum section, he checked operational readiness and statutory registers by interacting with the gatekeeper at Level Crossing Gate No. 219.The inspection concluded at Markapuram Road Railway Station, where Mr. Mathur witnessed Ultrasonic Flaw Detection testing of rails, inspected points and crossings to evaluate track health, and reviewed overall station infrastructure.He was accompanied by Guntur Divisional Railway Manager Sudhsna Sen.
