Over 600 students have registered in My Bharat Portal during a drive held at the Pondicherry University.The University in a release said the Central government had initiated the plan to enrol students in the portal to encourage youth participation in nation-building. The University conducted a drive on the campus to encourage students to enrol in the portal.Principal in-charge of Pondicherry University Community College Aruna inaugurated the drive. In her address, she highlighted the importance of My Bharat Portal in empowering youth by providing opportunities for volunteering, leadership development, skill enhancement, and community service, the College said in a release.She encouraged students to actively participate in various initiatives offered through the portal and contribute to the nation’s development.Nodal Officer for the My Bharat Portal of the college and NSS Programme Officer, C. Suresh Kumar said the registration process was facilitated by the My Bharat Kendra – Puducherry District, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
