IDAC investigator, Mantsha Raphesu, told the Madlanga Commission on Friday that he will open a criminal case against his colleague for plotting against him.
Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) investigator Mantsha Raphesu intends to open a criminal case against fellow investigators Dylan Perumal and Brian Padayachee, alleging they targeted him but fears the case could be compromised.
Testifying at the Madlanga Commission on Friday, Raphesu alleged that he was removed from key investigations, subjected to disciplinary action and later restricted from working on cases involving police officers and the security cluster.
He appealed to the commission to intervene and deploy its own investigators, saying he fears a criminal complaint lodged through normal channels could end up "in the wrong hands."
Responding to Raphesu, commission spokesperson Jeremy Michaels said “the commissioners will have to deal with that issue”.
