IDAC investigator, Mantsha Raphesu, has testified at the Madlanga Commission on Friday.
The Madlanga Commission turned its attention to the controversial “Project Diversion” as senior Independent Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) investigator Mantsha Raphesu took the witness stand. His testimony was expected to provide further insight into mounting corruption allegations against the unit.
Raphesu, who worked on Project Diversion, which was allegedly led by former IDAC head Advocate Andrea Johnson, is expected to reveal key details at the Madlanga Commission on Friday about the project.
His evidence follows weeks of damaging testimony that has exposed alleged procedural failures in several high-profile IDAC cases, intensifying scrutiny of the agency's handling of sensitive investigations.
Pressure on Johnson has continued to mount after IDAC prosecutor Drushantha Ramsamy handed the commission a phone recording allegedly capturing a conversation between the two.
