Senior Investigator at the Investigative Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC), Brian Padayachee, at the Madlanga Commission.
Senior Investigative Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) investigator Brian Padayachee is expected to conclude his testimony before the Madlanga Commission on Thursday as the inquiry sharpens its focus on the unit's controversial arrest of a brigadier.
For two days, Padayachee has faced sustained questioning over IDAC's investigation into Brigadier Dineo Mokwele's appointment, with the commission probing whether the matter should have remained a Human Resources process instead of becoming a criminal case.
Under cross-examination, Padayachee said Mokwele was arrested and charged over an alleged offence investigators believed she would commit in the future.
He conceded they could not determine when the alleged crime would take place.
