MANILA, Philippines— The Senate impeachment court on Tuesday admonished National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Melvin Matibag over his previous pronouncements involving some of the senator-judges trying the impeachment case of Vice President Sara Duterte.
Impeachment Court Presiding Officer Francis “Chiz” Escudero issued the admonition and reminder as soon as Matibag was called to the witness stand.

“Director Matibag , the chair would like to remind and admonish you on behalf of the impeachment court to kindly avoid statements pertaining to individual members of this impeachment court,” Escudero said.
