The Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate for Osun State, Salawu-Adeniyi Mustapha has issued a statement warning against the obstruction of justice, while backing the police command's arrest of a criminal fugitive in the state.
The party candidate also commended the command for its "bravery" following the arrest of the alleged notorious supect in the residence of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon.Teslim Igbalaye.
The SDP candidate said, "We salute the clear-headed bravery of the Osun State Police Command, by executing this operation successfully. The individual apprehended in the SSG’s residence has long been on the official wanted list for murder and other severe criminal charges, finding such an element under the roof of a high-ranking government official is deeply disturbing.
"The SDP strongly condemned the ruling Accord Party's desperate attempts to downplay the incident, describing their defensive reactions as highly laughable.
