MANILA, Philippines — The validity of vehicle registrations, driver’s licenses, and other permits that will expire beginning on July 1, 2026 will be extended until further notice amid the technical issues of the Land Transportation Office’s( LTO) online portal, the agency said on Thursday.
According to the LTO, the Memorandum Circular (MC) No. MVL-2026-5271 dated July 29, 2026 was implemented due to the series of technical issues affecting the Land Transportation Management System.

“To ensure efficient public service and provide the transacting public a reasonable opportunity to comply without incurring additional charges, the validity of all motor vehicle registrations and driver’s/conductor’s licenses due for renewal starting 01 July 2026 is hereby EXTENDED nationwide until further notice,” the MC read.
