MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has admitted that Germany-based Dermalog Identification Systems GmbH no longer provides information technology (IT) support for its Land Transportation Management Systems (LTMS) as the contract for the final module is set to expire by May 30.

During the House of Representatives committee on transportation’s hearing on Monday, LTO Executive Director Marvin Ontog said that they have relied on LTO’s IT system under the build-own-operate agreement Stradcom Corporation, following the ending of the agency’s contract with Dermalog.

The LTO’s own IT system, the official said, has allowed them to continue delivering services to the people especially those connected with the LTMS like the registration of motor vehicles and the processing of driver’s licenses

“As of today, the LTMS maintenance contract has fully lapsed, there are no patches, there is no monitoring, there is no incident response, coverage expired for modules starting with the portal and OEAAS in December 2025, with the final module or the executive information system expiring on May 30, 2026,” Ontog told lawmakers.
