The government exhibition organised by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) at the VOC Grounds concluded on July 28 after attracting 1,95,552 visitors and generating ₹27.87 lakh in revenue through ticket sales, according to District Collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar.The exhibition was inaugurated on June 11 by Minister for Information and Publicity R. Rajmohan, in the presence of Minister for School Education, Tamil Development, Information and Backward Classes Welfare V. Sampath Kumar.A total of 32 stalls - 26 government departments and six public sector organisations - showcased the State government’s welfare schemes and public services. Officials from various departments interacted with visitors and provided information on government programmes and schemes.The exhibition also featured cultural programmes organised by different government departments, medical camps conducted by the Health and Family Welfare Department, and a civic service centre operated by the Coimbatore Corporation. Entertainment facilities and children’s play areas were also arranged for visitors.Entry tickets were introduced from June 14, with the fee fixed at ₹15 for adults and ₹10 for children. According to the Collector, the exhibition recorded 1,66,421 adult visitors and 29,131 children, taking the total footfall to 1,95,552.
