Lieutenant-General Arthur Adams has been appointed as the new North West Provincial Commissioner,
Lieutenant-General Arthur Peter Adams has been appointed as the new North West Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS).
Acting National Commissioner Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane announced the appointment on Thursday morning in Mahikeng.
The appointment comes after the retirement of Lieutenant General Sello Kwena in December 2024, with Major General Dr Ryno Naidoo having served as acting provincial commissioner since then.
The announcement forms part of SAPS’ rollout of new provincial commissioners across four provinces this week. It is aimed at strengthening leadership within the police service.
