DJ Black Coffee adds dental care to help primary school learners smile with confidence.
Access to healthcare at school can make a big difference to a child’s confidence, well-being and even how they perform in class. Now, learners taking part in DJ Black Coffee Foundation’s Gift of Sight initiative will also receive dental care as part of the programme.
The foundation has expanded the initiative, which has already provided eye screenings and vision testing to thousands of learners, to include oral health assessments.
The rollout began at Zenzeleni Primary School in Alexandra from July 27 to 29, where learners underwent dental screenings alongside eye tests in an effort to identify health issues that could affect their learning and overall well-being.
The expanded programme aims to tackle preventable health concerns early by giving learners access to both vision and oral healthcare in one place.
