MANILA, Philippines — The Senate impeachment court has decided that the prosecution must first complete its presentation of evidence on all the articles of impeachment against Vice President Sara Duterte before hearing the evidence of the defense team.
Presiding officer Francis Escudero ruled on the issue on Wednesday, citing the two parties’ failure to reach an agreement.

“It’s clear based on your written manifestations that there’s no agreement between the two parties,” Escudero said.
