MANILA, Philippines — The Senate impeachment court resumed proceedings on Wednesday with the prosecution beginning its presentation of evidence on Article I, which centers on Vice President Sara Duterte’s alleged misuse of P612.5 million in confidential funds, as an ethics complaint was simultaneously filed against Sen. Pia Cayetano over an allegedly spliced video related to the trial.
During Day 10 of the impeachment trial, the prosecution team presented two former LandBank branch managers who testified under Article 1 of the Articles of Impeachment.

Former LandBank Shaw Boulevard branch manager Violeta Constantino said she personally oversaw the encashment of four checks worth P125 million each, totaling P500 million, and that OVP representatives used three to four gym bags to carry away the P125 million in cash.
