As of the morning of July 29, power outages are reported in four regions of Ukraine due to Russian attacks; more than 30 settlements in four regions remain without power due to severe weather.
According to Ukrinform, the NPC Ukrenergo reported this on Facebook.
“As a result of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure facilities, as of this morning, consumers in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions are without power. Emergency restoration work has already begun wherever safety conditions allow,” the statement reads.
In addition, due to adverse weather conditions (thunderstorms, strong winds), more than 30 settlements in four regions—Kyiv, Zakarpattia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy—remained without power, either fully or partially, as of this morning. Repair crews from regional power companies are already working to restore damaged power lines.
It is noted that electricity consumption is trending downward. Today, July 29, as of 9:30 a.m., it was 11.1% lower than at the same time the previous day—Tuesday. The reason is clear weather across almost the entire territory of Ukraine. This leads to high efficiency of residential solar power plants and a corresponding reduction in energy consumption from the main grid.
