Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (Dr. NTRUHS) Vice-Chancellor P. Chandrasekhar on Tuesday (July 28, 2026) convened a meeting with the principals of nursing colleges, where copying was reported during the B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) examinations held in June.Taking a serious note of the incident, Mr. Chandrasekhar and Registrar T. Sai Sudheer said any student found guilty of malpractice in future examinations will face stringent disciplinary action, including debarment from examinations.They stated that colleges will also be held accountable for such incidents. Financial penalties and other disciplinary action will be initiated against institutions where examination malpractice is found, they added.Later, they emphasised the need to enhance the standards of nursing education and outlined a series of measures aimed at strengthening the quality of B.Sc. Nursing education across all affiliated institutions.They instructed the principals to ensure the effective implementation of the curriculum prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and to provide students with comprehensive and systematic clinical training in accordance with the prescribed standards.The principals were also directed to sensitise students about academic integrity and ethical conduct and to ensure that they do not indulge in any form of examination malpractice.
