Students of the College of Nursing Sciences, University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH), Cross River State, have accused senior officials of the institution of alleged examination malpractice, favouritism, attendance fraud and administrative bias, raising concerns over what they described as a growing culture of impunity within the school.
The allegations were contained in information obtained by SaharaReporters from insider sources within the institution, who claimed that some officials entrusted with training future nurses were compromising academic integrity and professional standards.
According to the sources, there have been persistent allegations that certain senior staff members allegedly grant preferential treatment to selected students, including facilitating admission irregularities, assisting academically weak students to remain in school and leaking examination questions before tests.
