Coca-Cola — what Gen Z has dubbed a “fridge cigarette” – is seemingly leaning into internet memes with a Marlboro-esque rebrand.
Keeping the red and white colorways shared between Coca-Cola and Marlboro, the soda brand switched to a serif typeface, strikingly similar to the font on Marlboro cigarette packs, and announced the rebrand on July 20 with a spot using pictures from the 1970s.
