Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) hosted a high-level NITI Aayog delegation led by M. Srinivas, Member (Health), to review its integrated medical technology manufacturing and innovation ecosystem.Jitendra Sharma, MD and founder CEO, received the delegates and showcased AMTZ’s multidisciplinary framework, which spans device manufacturing, diagnostics, R&D, AI-enabled healthcare, and startup incubation.The officials witnessed an operational model where AMTZ transitions concepts seamlessly into commercialisation through dedicated research, testing, and manufacturing facilities.Mr. Jitendra Sharma said: “Innovation thrives when researchers, clinicians and manufacturers work as one ecosystem. Discussions highlighted how AMTZ overcomes startup challenges involving regulatory pathways, manufacturing scale, and market access through shared infrastructure and expert guidance. Furthermore, the officials engaged with the World Health Innovation Forum (WHIF) regarding global healthcare partnerships and reviewed Universal BioMed Cross (UBMC) initiatives in biomedical emergency response.Commending the infrastructure, M. Srinivas said, “This is one of the finest MedTech ecosystems I have seen. It stands as a remarkable example of what can be achieved when industry, academia and government work together with a shared vision. Building such an ecosystem is no ordinary feat.
