Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal on Saturday (November 15) visited Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) here, during his stay in the city for the 30th CII Partnership Summit.
During his visit, Mr. Goyal inaugurated 3i MedTech, a pioneering initiative set to transform diagnostic imaging through innovation, precision and patient-centric design. In collaboration with AMTZ, 3i MedTech aims to deliver advanced, affordable imaging systems, working steadfastly toward establishing a globally respected Indian brand known for high-quality and accessible healthcare solutions. The Minister also inaugurated Innovation Imaging Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (IITPL) at AMTZ.
With the launch of a new catheterization laboratory (Cathlab) production facility, IITPL is poised to drive innovation and bolster self-reliance in medical device manufacturing, paving the way for sophisticated healthcare solutions made in India.
“Piyush Goyal expressed confidence that the MedTech industry will only move forward from here and need not look back. He lauded the capability of speed production and affordability of the medical products being manufactured at AMTZ,” said Jitendra Sharma, MD and founder-CEO of AMTZ.
