According to a report by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Hamed Dayizadeh, also known as Hamed Bagherzadeh, a cadre officer of the 124th Ramazan Base under the IRGC’s Hamzeh Seyyed al-Shohada Headquarters, was killed in an armed attack in Piranshahr on the evening of Saturday, July 25.

Hengaw reported that the attack occurred at the Power Plant Intersection in Piranshahr, where a vehicle carrying two IRGC members was targeted in a shooting. According to the report, 32-year-old Dayizadeh, a native of Urmia, was killed in the attack, while the other IRGC member sustained serious injuries.

The group “Khori Hiva” (Sun of Hope) claimed responsibility for the attack by publishing a statement and a video on its Instagram page.

The group stated that the operation was carried out in retaliation for recent IRGC strikes against Kurdish political parties.

Hengaw added that “Khori Hiva” had previously claimed responsibility for an attack that resulted in the deaths of two IRGC members in Paveh.
