Anthony Scaramucci Says Great Books Offer Decades of Wisdom Over the weekend, Scaramucci took to X to share his belief that books can dramatically accelerate learning, writing, "You can shortcut decades of hard-won wisdom if you know where to look." He added, "For 10 hours of your time, you could get 10 years of experience from an author," arguing that reading allows people to tap into lessons that took writers years—sometimes lifetimes—to develop.

In a video accompanying the post, Scaramucci said his passion for reading stems from intellectual curiosity and inspired his podcast, Open Book, where he interviews authors.

While noting that books now cost more than the "$10" figure he often cites, he said the underlying idea remains the same: reading is one of the quickest ways to expand knowledge and sharpen observation.
