MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte on Wednesday said she has no plans to watch or even read about President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s fifth state of the nation address (Sona) as she simply saw it as a “waste of time.”
Duterte said this in a chance interview at The Hague, Netherlands, amid an ongoing overseas trip until July 31.
“I am not watching Sona like last year, and I have no plans to read the content of Sona or even a summary because I truly believe it is a waste of time for the Filipino people,” said Duterte, speaking in Filipino.
