MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte on Tuesday dismissed as false online claims that her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, is set to be released by the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Sara issued the clarification after multiple social media posts cited her recent speech at a rally in London, where she supposedly announced that her father was set to be released by the ICC the following week.
“I didn’t say anything in my speech that PRD would be out next week. I don’t know where that started,” she said in a chance interview in The Hague, Netherlands.
